Hi everyone,
Today we launched a new film that puts the spotlight on young people’s true experiences of the cost of living crisis, and free school meals — and you have to watch it.
“There have been times when my family would go days without eating.” — Victor, age 15
The film gives young people like Victor the chance to tell their story, and to show the Prime Minister why it’s important that the UK Government extends free school meals to all children living in poverty.
We heard young people speak of how they simply are not eating because they can’t afford a meal, or having to go outside to junk food outlets to eat affordably, as well as heartbreaking stories of friends sharing food with friends who don’t have any. This just isn’t right.

Unfortunately, it's the same stories I had when I was 15. This has to change now; we cannot let another generation of young people suffer.
Our campaign is building big momentum — last week Michael Gove attended our event at Conservative Party Conference, and I was in the room with him when he announced his support for free school meals. This is a huge step forward! And this morning, my fellow campaigner Rizwan, who is 14 years old and missing out on free school meals, was on BBC Radio 4 alongside Jamie Oliver talking powerfully about his experiences.
We think we can win this — and have more than 162,000 signatures now on the petition. Please help me to keep building the pressure. Watch the film now!
Thank you so much for all your support.
