Having recently lost my baby who was 9 months old through being run over upon googling the laws i discovered that by law 

Dogs

Horses

Cattle

Pigs

Goats 

Sheep

Donkeys

And mules all have to be reported if ran over however cats do not this is baffling to me as a huge majority of the population own and love their cats just the same as a person would love their dog !
