DVSA and NASP Attempt to sideline instructors and the public yet again.

As wait times continue to increase despite Lovejoy telling us all how well they did last year are now trying to force through a change to the test booking times by extending the period that those who fail their car test have to wait before booking another test from 10 to 28 clear working days.

This is after a consultation where even there own email shows that majority of people that responded disagreed with the changes.

They are also trying to force through the sharing of "consumer information" , in other words pass statistics with the general public. This is after years of telling us its the pupils test and not ours.

Finally we've all heard the news about another "consultation" on increasing the SC pass rate from 31/51 to 33/51* to help drive more instructors out of the industry.  NASP of course are in favour, after all they spend most of their time selling Standards Check course to gullible members. No doubt this will be forced through even after the consultation shows everyone disagrees with it!

We have unofficial figures showing that more people have signed this petition than are members of NASP!!

There has never been a more important time to sign this petition, share it with your industry colleagues and to write to your MP.

The DVSA and its management must be held to account for the shambles its the left the industry in.

*An earlier version of this page contained a typo suggesting the pass rate was increasing to 33% instead of 33/51, edited to correct and make clearer.
