A thank you to those who have signed and a warning! Don't give out your PRN!
Thanks so much everyone!
We have smashed through the 1500 signature barrier and beyond showing that ADIs are capable of coming together for a cause without an association.
We are hearing reports that the three NASP organisations are seriously worried about the backlash against them on social media and throughout the industry now that their collaboration with the DVSA over the new Standards Check Criteria has been exposed.
You can help by sharing the petition on Facebook and your local whats-app groups, and if your in a local association asking them to send it out to members.
We have also seen recent reports that if you give a pupil your PRN (aka Badge Number) to a pupil book a test online. Should you then refuse to take that pupil to test and they against your advice turn up in their own car, the DVSA still record the test result against your statistics.
If true (and we believe this is), this is totally illegal and a serious breach of data protection regulations. NASP don't seem to have raised any complaint with the Information Commissioners Office about this that we can see (and we won't be holding ou breath either! They'll either ask the DVSA the question and be fobbed off, or tell us all how it's for our own good!) and its yet another example of the DVSA riding roughshod over the law when it suits them, just the latest example of why an independent enquiry with full powers to prosecute individual civil servants needs to be launched. Our advice is - Do not use the online booking system for tests, and do not give pupils your badge number - advise them to skip the badge number when booking a test.
As always please continue to share this petition!
