The UC DAVIS HEALTH Same Day Surgery Center will be encountering an alarming loss of patients, approximately 50%, who are shifting to the new Outpatient Surgery Center. This includes patients from the fields of orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and Ortho sports.

Perioperative & Perianesthesia management does not seem to recognize the value of their own Same Day Surgery PreOp/ PACU RNs.

UC DAVIS HEALTH required 2-yr recent critical care experience. Which is not possible because we have all been working for Same Day Surgery for more than 2-years and our prior critical care experience is more than that.

if we’re qualified to take care of these patients until June 30, 2025, why not on July 1, 2025 when the new Outpatient Surgery Complex opens up?
