TLDR: We are closing on 2,000 signatures which shows this campaign is getting stronger. More players are speaking up about how much they enjoyed Outlaws and regret listening to negative reviews, and new players are joining before Switch release, let’s keep the momentum going. On the subreddit, the mods pinned a petition post in the community highlight - please upvote it for more visibility.
Hello Outlaws,
We’re about to cross 2,000 signatures! That’s a huge milestone, and it shows this campaign is only getting stronger.
Yes, there are always going to be some haters, even in the fanbase subreddit built for this game. But the good news is the tide is shifting. More and more posts are coming in from people saying how much they loved Outlaws and regretting listening to the negative reviews. Even better, we’re seeing new players showing up and joining the conversation, and this is even before the Switch release in a few weeks. The next few weeks are the perfect window to turn things around.
On the subreddit, the mods have been removing direct re-petition links, but they did pin to the community highlight the post by Prestigious-Drop8435. If you haven’t already, please give that post an upvote so it gains more visibility. The more it trends, the more the algorithm will show it to incoming players. Plus it will help drown out all the negativity comments. And if you’re feeling extra supportive, consider boosting positive comments on that post to keep the community energy focused in the right direction. And you decide what you would like to do with the negative comments from the naysayers.
I’m still working on the PR campaign and sending the press release out to major gaming outlets. If anyone wants to help with outreach so it’s not just one voice but many (without spamming), please use the form I shared in the first update to get in touch. I still plan to send a direct message to Massive Entertainment with the petition, media coverage, and a clear outline of what fans are asking for. The timing has to be right though, and that means we need even more visibility before it goes out.
We’re building momentum together, and every step counts. There may have doubts, but we’re showing there’s a real community here that believes in this game and want more of what was done right. Let’s keep pushing. Worst case, nothing changes. Best case, enough voices make a difference. But doing nothing guarantees no change … and we’re not doing nothing.
