Hello fellow Outlaws,

Just wanted to share a quick update and next steps.

Thanks to your support, we’ve passed 1,000 signatures, and this all started from just one Reddit post.

I may have created the petition, but this is our petition. It’s our voice. Based on standard engagement patterns, for every person who signs, there are often 25 or more who support the idea but haven’t signed or haven’t seen it yet. That 25:1 ratio comes from digital marketing and analytics benchmarks where only 1 to 3 percent of interested people take an action like signing a petition. So, the interest behind this is likely much bigger than the numbers show on the surface.

I’m not under any illusion that a petition alone guarantees Ubisoft will act. Worst case, nothing changes. Best case, enough voices make a difference. But doing nothing guarantees no change … and we’re not doing nothing.

Here’s the plan moving forward:

Some people doubt whether a petition can really do anything, especially on Reddit. And to be fair, a petition without exposure doesn’t usually get far. That’s why I waited until we hit 1,000 organically before launching a media outreach effort. Basically, a PR campaign where I’ve drafted and started sending a press release to major gaming outlets to get this in front of more eyes.

If we get enough coverage, we can massively expand the petition’s reach. After the next major milestone, I’ll also be sending a direct message to Massive Entertainment, with links to the petition, media coverage, and a clear message about what fans are asking for. But this message can’t be sent out too soon and we need more coverage. 

What’s encouraging is that the petition has already been featured by a few outlets even before I sent anything out.

Before sending anything, please check the petition’s “Media Mentions” section to be sure the outlet hasn’t already covered it.
