It's really simple. This is what we would like to happen: 

• Make D1 and D2 COVID-19 vaccines mandatory for all students who wish to live in on-campus residence and for all staff (who are eligible to receive the vaccine(s) without severely compromising their health). We would also appreciate the University to make efforts to organize D2 vaccines for those who have not received theirs yet. 
• It is understood that there is a difficulty in enforcing rules for commuter students and those who live in off-campus housing but we would like for D2 to be recommended and highly encouraged in a public statement by UBC for all students who live in off-campus residence and staff as well.

• Host a vaccination drive on campus (we've got multiple stadia to host them) to boost the immunity of UBC students, staff and everyone living in the Lower Mainland.

The Middlesex Health System have approved of UWO's move to make vaccines mandatory. The University of Ottawa has also made similar mandates. We would like UBC to follow suit, with Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health approving of this decision. 

The health of our community and society is a shared responsibility. Please - let's establish some boundaries to maintain the utmost safety among our student and faculty population at UBC. 

The asterisk (*) in the heading is to signify ALL as in ALL who are eligible for the vaccine (god, we do not want those who would be compromised by the vaccine to get one).
