U2 Manager Guy Oseary Responds to Fans’ Concerns of E+I Tour Pre-Sales

Vanessa YuVancouver, Canada

Nov 26, 2017
Thank you Guy Oseary for your response to fans which we read on November 22 on all the U2 fan sites. We appreciate your efforts to identify and weed out the “bad players” thus far, but there remains more work to be done on this front.
In your response you mentioned “Maybe we can get your take on a new idea or fans can offer their thoughts/suggestions on a route management might like to consider”.
We have included below some initial requests and suggestions, and we invite readers of this petition to offer constructive comments and suggestions when they sign this petition. Could we please request that existing tickets on reseller sites be cancelled and returned to subscribers?
As of this moment there are still many overpriced U2 tickets available on reseller sites such as stubhub. We know other artists have followed this path in recent months, so the science or the code for ticket and scalper identification exists somewhere. We also have some suggestions from U2 fans Dawn McKenna and Kristin Waite:
1-When fans purchase overpriced resellers’ tickets on stubhub or other reseller sites, the fan can send in the barcode information to Live Nation or Ticketmaster;
2-Ticketmaster can cancel that ticket and reissue it to the purchaser at face value;
3-Stubhub can issue a refund to the purchaser
We are grateful that our favourite band continues to tour and make music. We are just asking for a fair chance to attend the shows on the Experience & Innocence Tour.
Please help us.
