Allow students living at The Forge to end their tenancy early

Allow students living at The Forge to end their tenancy early
The Issue
Students at Clanny House, Panns Bank and Scotia Quay have all been given the opportunity to end their tenancy early due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
However students living at The Forge have been told they must continue to pay their accommodation fees, despite being told to leave their residences by the University.
The Forge is privately managed by U-Student but it is listed and promoted on the University website in the same way as the three other accommodations. And we were told The Forge is a partnership between U-Student and the University.
Giving the impression that whichever accommodation you select from they are all linked with the University and students shall be treated equally and fairly.
It is unfair that after finding and being directed to The Forge by the University itself, students won't be given the same option as other students living in different residences.
We were told to leave our student residences by the University and the government has now placed travel restrictions on us.
If we weren’t going to be given the same financial treatment and option to end our tenancy as others in student residences then the University should not have told us to leave.
The University campus is now closed, many students left because they were told to and we are being faced with paying for rooms we can now not access. How is this fair? It just isn't.
U-Student have told us they “simply must seek payment” from us.
But in our tenancy agreement it states: "If the Room, Flat or Building shall at any time during the Term be destroyed or damaged by fire, explosion, flood or otherwise so as to be unfit for occupation and use in whole this agreement shall end immediately but without prejudice to the rights of the parties here under." Does this not apply?
If U-Student can’t or won’t allow students to end their contracts then the University - who told us to leave - must step in and ensure every student living in residences is given the same opportunity to end their tenancy early.
Or, at a minimum, students should be refunded for the weeks we are without access to our rooms.
