Our petition attracted focus for this week's Change.org blog. Our effort is inspiring more efforts and the movement is growing. I applaud all of you for stepping forward before it became a national focus. I did some applauding for myself in the interview. My grandfather once told me I should've been around during the depression standing on a soap box giving oratory in Chicago's bughouse square. He wasn't a man of many words and coming from him, that wasn't necessarily a compliment. Politics put a wedge in our relationship for too long, but I'm proud that on my first campaign as a field organizer he was volunteering with me. The cost burden of end-of-life care for my grandmother and the pharmaceutical bill for both of them made him see my progressive firebrand perspective more clearly. Anyhoo, see for yourself.
