Ever since the walkout, my head has been spinning. I have so many ideas for how to take this moment and make it the most visionary youth-led movement in our country’s history.
But this isn’t about me, or even the walkout. It’s about all of us — young people coming together to build the political power of our generation.
So this Saturday, we’ve planned the kind of meeting that will let you be heard. Across the country, National School Walkout groups are getting together to talk about what we want for our country’s future. We’re going to crowdsource ideas to create a visionary agenda that we can take to Washington, D.C. Sign your name here to say you’ll host or attend an event on Saturday.
On April 20th, you and I, along with thousands of other young activists across the nation, sent an unmistakable message to the adults who have failed to protect us: we demand the right to our futures and an end to America's gun violence epidemic.
But if we don’t keep up our momentum, things will never change. We must all work together to build a national movement that our country's leaders can’t ignore.
Sign your name here to take the next steps toward making our schools and communities safe from gun violence.
Be on the lookout for May 19th meeting toolkit and other materials in the coming days. We’ll make sure you’re equipped with everything you need to make your meeting a success.
Oh, just one more thing: we’re here to stay.
