As you all know Judge Anthony Scalia passed away in February.  As such there is a vacancy in the US Supreme Court. Under the US Constitution, the present US President is allowed to nominate a judge to be confirmed by a US Senate.   Due to partisan politics, it seems that some in the Senate have suggested that this choice should be left to the next president. This is not only wrong but goes against the principles of the founding fathers. As such we are calling on people to sign to push the Senate to confirm one of the nominees of President Obama and for President Obama not to back off on nominating a Supreme Court Justice. Remember that while politicians are elected, Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life. This means that all our lives are affected by this decision. Please sign the petition.
