Remember last week when, the day after Mr. Trump fired James Comey, he then held a closed meeting with Russian diplomats. During that meeting he allowed the Russian government controlled press into the meeting but refused access to the American press. I have copied the first three paragraphs of an article published in today's Washington Post. The article is pertinent to that meeting. I will include the link at the end for anyone interested in reading the full article. The information the president relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said. The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said Trump’s decision to do so endangers cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State. After Trump’s meeting, senior White House officials took steps to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and the National Security Agency. So another day ticks by in our daily Trump/Russia drama and the senate has still not demanded a Special Prosecutor. AG Sessions purportedly continues to ignore his agreement with the American people to have recused himself and is assisting Mr Trump in his efforts to find a replacement for Mr. Comey that will help this scandal go away. For a couple days last week I had actually thought the Senate would step up and do the right thing and we could be on to tackling one of the other issues that need to be address. Alas, that is not the case. So today I set up my fundraiser to help with the expenses for my trip. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. I also contacted the March for Truth organizers in hopes that we can coordinate in some way and share links to bring a more powerful impact to both campaigns. Their objectives are very close to ours.
