Nearly 7500 signatures in our first week!

To the wonderful group of people who have signed this petition, thank you for your commitment to change and a better future for elephants and rhinos! PLEASE NOTE: I understand that cutting off trade with China is an arguably drastic request, and is highly unlikely. I also understand that the US plays a large role in the illegal trade as well, so we are not innocent either. But if we can accumulate millions of signatures, we will turn the attention to all countries involved, not just China or the US, and that is a good thing. What we are saying by petitioning the senate with such an extreme request, is that we want to see extreme measures taken to stop this crisis. We are saying that we, as consumers, want to take the issue into our own hands, and that our government has the power to get serious about the issue if they choose to. Money speaks much louder than the voices of animal rights activists, unfortunately, so let's use that to our advantage. We are telling OUR government that we want them to get serious about defending OUR desire to have elephants and rhinos on this earth, and to punish other countries economically for their failure to do so.
