There has been so much positive momentum in the past month toward bringing more Ukrainian Refugees in need to the United States. The first Uniting for Ukraine applications have been approved and we will begin seeing arrivals through that program soon as well which is wonderful. Thank you so much to all of you who have signed up as sponsors within that program for family and others in need.

Our family arrived on April 21st through a tourist Visa which was the only option for them at the time. They are settling in well. The kids have even started school and are beginning to learn English. The emotional side of things is very hard for everyone with family, fathers, and friends still in Ukraine. It has been amazing to spend time with them and see our kids play together during such a difficult time!

Our family and others still need help. Because they arrived on April 21st before the Uniting for Ukraine program was active, they are not eligible. They are also currently ineligible for TPS which was extended through 4/11. This means that they cannot work to support their kids (even with excellent qualifications to do so) and will need to leave the United States in about 5 months. Please join us in asking politicians to extend TPS through at least April 30th for those that already had means of entry prior to the announcement of the new Uniting for Ukraine program and/ allow Ukrainians without a protected status who have entered the United States since the start of the war to apply through this program.

Many Ukrainian Refugees are still here in limbo due to gaps in program offerings. Please extend TPS through at least April 30th for those that already had means of entry prior to the announcement of the new Uniting for Ukraine program and/ allow Ukrainians without a protected status who have entered the United States since the start of the war to apply through this program. Those that arrived after 4/11 and before 4/25 are in limbo and cannot work and have no means to stay here. Please help to make these small changes which will make a huge difference for Ukrainians in need.

Thank you so much for your continued support!
