​Imagine the worst thing you've done in your lifetime. Now imagine if every time you walked through your town, every time you went to your high school, or even drove down your road, you were reminded of that event.

That is only a fragment of the pain I imagine is experienced on a daily basis due to Confederate statues and monuments. As Americans, how embarrassing is it that we have glorified and idolized these men and objects enough to quite literally put them on a pedestal? The most atrocious and inhumane act of our history is being put on display at roughly 718 locations in the United States. The current climate and long overdue initiative being taken for equality and justice is reason enough to remove these belittling reminders of a past to be ashamed of. Help me bring this issue to light and support the removal of any and all Confederate statues, monuments, and memorials.
