The Salt River has been home to a herd of wild horses for generations. the U.S. Forest Service has given public notice for removal and destruction of this herd.

The Tonto National Forest Service has released a public announcement that they will be removing the Salt River Wild Horses as early as this Friday. These horses are not "stray livestock". They were born in the wild and live free. Don't let them take everything they know away from them. They share their land with us and do it peacefully. They regenerate the ecosystem. They are an Arizona icon. They deserve more.

The USFS has said that the horses can only be saved by an act of Congress.

OK! We ask that Congress grant this wild herd protection under the Wild Horse Protection Act and stop the USFS from rounding up, removing, selling or destroying any part of the wild and beautiful Salt River Horses.
