Many of us are absolutely exhausted by the Trump administration. Exhausted from all the lies, deceit, the absolute refusal to give Congress access to information, access to members of his administration, and we've had enough of his hateful propaganda. Now he’s taken over a U.S. taxpayer held news agency that broadcasts to the world. He’s about to give Sebastian Gorka the microphone, this needs to end now!

The Voice of America (VOA) is a U.S.-funded international news agency (Agency for Global Media) with a record of independent reporting going back to 1942. It is the largest U.S. international broadcaster. VOA produces digital, TV, and radio content in 47 languages distributing to affiliate stations around the globe. As a taxpayer funded agency, we cannot allow the Trump administration to takeover another one of America's prominent news sources and continue to alienate our allies outside of the U.S. so the VOA can be used for propaganda purposes.

Trump has installed Michael Pack, a friend of Steve Bannon as head of the agency prompting the Director and the two top editors to resign their positions. There are already talks of having Sebastian Gorka take a leadership position within the agency as well. Gorka has reported ties to a far-right Hungarian political group with links to the Nazi party and has made anti-Islam comments in the past.

We cannot allow America's voice to be taken over by these extremists and have their views spewed out throughout the world. Hasn't this administration done enough damage to our reputation? 

As a taxpayer funded agency Congress can have a say in the matter. What do you say?
