Last year, Rep. Carolyn Maloney of New York proposed a bill "To provide student loan forgiveness to health care workers who are on the front line in response to COVID-19."

This bill has been moved to committee, which is the next step in the process on the path to passing! 

It has also been announced that the AAMC, the American Association of Medical Colleges, is backing the bill! They have a form you can fill out to encourage your representative to co-sponsor this bill, giving it even more power.
