This is not a site for donations

A petition signer just asked where does the donation money go for this petition? I truly hope that no one thought they were donating to any relief organization. Any monies asked for by change.org is to promote this petition and states so in clear language. This is a petition only, and is to be used to lobby our government for aid to Australia. We have nearly 300,000 signers and I urge you to share this petition with your state representatives and ask that they do the will of the people and send as much aid as we possibly can to our neighbors and friends to help stop the complete decimation of fragile species. This is our wildlife burning, everyones. It merely is in the caretaking hands of our friends and ally in Australia. This affects us all deeply, and this is the important stuff . This is what we the people want our government to respond to on our behalf.
