Here is a template letter that you can send to your Representative in Congress.

I am a constituent of Representative [Name].  I am contacting you about the efforts of Mark Baker, and the Soft Lights Foundation, who has been in contact with Representative Mike Thompson of California regarding unsafe LED headlights.  Representative Thompson previously sent a letter to the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the FDA, but he received no response from either group.

Recently, the office of Representative Jan Schakowsky of Illinois, who sits on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, called one of her constituents to let her know that the Energy and Commerce Committee is in communications with NHTSA about debilitating LED headlights.  I would like to know more about the status of this situation.  Does Representative [Name] support an investigation into LED headlights and will the  Energy and Commerce Committee be holding a hearing into this matter?

Before you send this letter, call the local office of your Representative in Congress, describe the LED headlight situation a little bit, and then ask for an email address so that you can send this letter and tell the person on the phone that you would like a response.
