Dear Supporters,
The story of blinding LED headlights has made the Wall Street Journal.
The Soft Lights Foundation's petition to NHTSA to limit overall intensity for low beams is mentioned, as is the work by our colleague Victor Morgan. The issue of blinding LED headlights is not your eyes and it's not misalignment. Adaptive Driving Beam will not solve the unlimited intensity of low beam headlights. The reason why LED headlights are blinding us is because no automaker petitioned NHTSA for authorization to sell vehicles with LED headlights and NHTSA did not update FMVSS-108 to set limits on intensity or blue wavelength light.
Send this article to your Congressperson. Nearly every American says that LED headlights are too bright. When will Congress do something about it?
Sincerely,
Mark Baker
