Dear Supporters,

In my last update, I asked you to alert NHTSA to the safety defects of LED headlights by submitting a report to (nhtsa.webmaster@dot.gov).  Several of you contacted me and sent me the canned response that you received from NHTSA talking about HID headlights and the supposed research that NHTSA is performing.  I received the same canned response as you all, and this is the exact same canned response that we were receiving during the Trump Administration.  NHTSA is willfully ignoring the safety defects of LED headlights and falsely claiming that they are supporting research in this area and is sending out years-old emails to the public that is filled with false statements.

If you report the LED headlight defect to NHTSA and receive the boilerplate, untruthful response, the next step is to contact the Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General at (hotline@oig.dot.gov) and copy the Legislative Director for your US Representative (You can get this information from congressweb.com).  Tell the DOT OIG that NHTSA is illegally ignoring the safety defects and lack of approval of LED headlights and that you request an investigation and a response to you and your Representative in Congress.
