Dear Supporters,
Today, Representative Mike Thompson of California sent a letter to the FDA requesting that the FDA "provide full and fair consideration to prescribing performance standards for automobile LED headlights that would address the health and safety issues related to excessively bright headlights."

This means, for the first time, a member of Congress has directly asked the FDA (not NHTSA) to set performance standards for LED headlights.
What I request of you is to print out Congressman Thompson's letter, take it into the local office of your Congressperson, and ask that your Congressperson send a similar letter to the FDA. The more letters the FDA receives from members of Congress, the more likely it is that they will feel the pressure and act.
If your Congressperson sends a letter to the FDA, please send me a copy so that I can post on our website.
Sincerely,
Mark Baker
