Dear Supporters,

The US Food and Drug Administration has been sitting on our petition to regulate LED products since June 12, 2022. (https://www.regulations.gov/document/FDA-2022-P-1151-0001)  It is the FDA that should have published comfort, health, and safety regulations for LEDs at any point in the past 50+ years since the passage of the 1968 Radiation Control for Health and Safety Act.  It is the FDA who we are waiting for to solve the LED headlight crisis.

Health and Human Services oversees the FDA.  This week I wrote to Secretary Xavier Becerra, (xavier.becerra@hhs.gov) and demanded that he intervene and approve our FDA petition to regulate LED products, including LED vehicle headlights, without further delay.  My request to you is that as one of your 2023 resolutions be to write Secretary Becerra and demand that the FDA do their job and protect our eyes and nerves from the directed energy beams of LED visible radiation.
