Dear Supporters,
One of our members sent me a link to an article in Outside Magazine.
The writer described his experiences with aftermarket LED headlights. What is extremely significant for our cause is that, for the first time that I have ever seen in a magazine, the writer clearly states that LEDs emit light from a flat surface and that LEDs can never equal the quality of a uniform emitter. This is the first time that someone in the mainstream media has understood that flat-surface emitters are different than spherical emitters.
With this article as evidence, I wrote to the legal counsel for Ford Motor Company and copied NHTSA, the IIHS, automotive magazines, and others. http://www.softlights.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Ford-Second-Letter.pdf
Media coverage of the difference between a flat-surface emitter and spherical emitter is a huge win for us!
Sincerely,
