Things are heating up and it’s time to increase the pressure on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to stop this dangerous project. Reports are saying that the pipeline is on track to be completed by June and then to be transporting up to a billion gallons of fracked gas a day. Fortunately, pipeline activists and a growing number of ordinary citizens are ramping up their efforts to change that. Earlier this month, we organized another action outside Senator Bill Nelson’s office asking him to respond to our petition, which now has more than 100,000 signers. So far he has been silent. Perhaps this is because he's taken more than $73,00 in campaign contributions from just one of the companies in the joint venture building this pipeline. We are trying to set up a meeting with Nelson. You can read more about our action here: http://bit.ly/2lwIOEx. Meanwhile, other water protectors are taking direct action in opposition to the project. Yesterday two people climbed inside a section of the pipeline, and were ultimately arrested. You can hear from one of the brave protectors speaking from inside the pipeline here: http://bit.ly/2leRDju. Thank you for all your support and please keep spreading the word. People need to know about the Sabal Trail “Sinkhole” Pipeline and its threat to the drinking water for millions of people. Tim Canova ProgressForAll.org
