Although a very tiny bit of progress has been made on getting to zero standing charges, we still have massive standing charges. I think mine have at least doubled since I started this petition. 

A lot of the problem has been that ofgem has been bundling all infrastructure costs into standing charges. They are now in the process of reviewing how they are going to allocate these costs in the future. They haven’t yet announced when they are going to call for input. But the link below is a one page notice from ofgem of this process. While I have no confidence that this will address the standing charges issue, it is clearly an important issue , because they could decide to allocate it to unit costs rather than standing charges.
