Tyson Foods is currently facing a “labor shortage”—but it’s no wonder why they have a hard time recruiting and keeping employees. Tyson continues to treat workers like machines even as the pandemic wages on, and things are only getting worse. We’ve heard that Tyson management is forcing current employees to work harder and faster and is even restricting bathroom breaks

Despite all of this, Tyson refuses to increase pay or benefits. Some workers have been with Tyson for 15 years and still earn just $12 an hour. Meanwhile, Tyson’s CEO made over $10M during the pandemic alone.

Join us in taking these two quick yet impactful actions today to demand that Tyson stop treating its employees like machines—because workers deserve better!

  1. Tweet at Tyson: Go to Tyson’s Twitter account and reply to one of their tweets with the sample language provided below.
  2. Post on Tyson’s Facebook page: Go to Tyson’s Facebook page and comment on one of their posts with the sample language provided below.

Sample language:

  • We already know that @TysonFoods plants are dangerous places to work, with back-breaking labor for poverty wages. Now they're denying workers bathroom breaks to compensate for a so-called “labor shortage.” Workers are not machines! #ShameOnTyson
  • Tyson needs to stop treating its employees like machines! It’s time that you provide all employees with adequate pay, benefits, and breaks.

Thank you for taking these important actions and standing up against Tyson’s abuse of its workers.
