Many retirees feel like they were tricked into buying high-priced Medigap plans through Via and that they are "stuck" in those plans.

For those receiving no healthcare credits and have no under 65 spouses, purchasing a replacement plan directly from an insurer may be a wise financial move.

For those that feel they received misleading information from Via, you can file an appeal with your state's insurance commissioner.  Your state has the authority to grant you another opportunity to purchase insurance without penalty.
