Protect Our Kids at Tustin Legacy Update

Protect Our Kids At Tustin Legacy
Oct 6, 2020

We certainly hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy given what a landmark year 2020 has been in a number of ways.

The intent of this post is our opinion and our opinion only. It's not intended to be political in any way, shape, or form.

We did think that it's valid though as a reminder given that the intent of this group was formed as a response against Tustin City Council putting a homeless shelter next to Heritage.

With election ballots in the mail now we wanted to remind our supporters. We have no opinion on how you vote on anything other than we would highly suggest NOT voting for Beckie Gomez.

As a quick reminder, Beckie was on Tustin City Council when this issue came up and voted to put the homeless shelter next to Heritage. She refused to compromise or meet with us. She was extremely arrogant and standoffish.

She also didn't speak up or help when Legacy Magnet Academy wasn't going to be zoned for Tustin Legacy households even though Tustin Legacy is paying the bonds associated in part with it.

We personally don't care who you vote for beyond recommending NOT voting for Beckie Gomez. When this issue was brought up in a debate the vast majority of the other candidates all indicated that they WOULDN'T put a homeless shelter next to a school.

We have enough allies on Tustin City Council that this shouldn't be an issue again, but we would rather not have someone who was blatantly against us be put back on a decision-making board.
