970!!

GOOD MORNING!! We have 970 signatures on our petition, and THANKS to all of you for spreading the word. We realized yesterday after getting feedback from Anza Elementary parents (who are now on board!) that there are definitely pockets of parents that are still not aware of the calendar issue - let's spread the FACTS to as many as possible. NOW is the time to look into your contacts list, someone outside your geographical circle and forward this to them! Let's try to find someone at each school in TUSD and get them the FACTS. The TTA is distributing some vague and inaccurate information, which is disappointing. Our goal is not to be confrontational or challenge the TTA - they are trying to use the parents as leverage in this negotiation process by appealing to emotional responses, thus the vagueness and absence of facts in their propaganda. Let's not buy into that and stay the course and just spread the word. We can support our Teachers AND a Calendar Change, they are not mutually exclusive. Let's hit 1000! :) Michele
