Thread of Kurds being reprimanded, maimed, attacked, or killed just for being Kurdish, speaking Kurdish, and existing as Kurds

This petition is directed mostly at Iran, Turkey, and Iraq for the inhuman crimes they have committed against Kurds.

- First, who are the Kurds?

The Kurds are an ethnic group. They live in the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. Kurds speak Kurdish, which is an indo-european language. Majority of Kurds are muslim (sunni, but also shia in Iran), but some Kurds are also Jewish, Zoroastrian and even Christian (not Assyrian or Syriac). Kurds are the largest ethnic group without a state - there are about 36-45 million Kurds in the world.

- The problem?

Kurds have been marginalized and systematically oppressed in Iraq, Syria, Iran and Turkey ever since the Middle East borders were redrawn by the British and French (during ww1). To this day, Kurdish people are still being oppressed for being Kurdish. Turkey has a long history of turkifying Kurds, Iraq’s Saddam Hussein killed 100,000 Kurds in attempt to arabify Kurdish cities, Kurds have had disadvantages in Syrian society for centuries and Iran is killing Kurds on a daily basis.
