HERE IS WHAT THE NRA DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW... WHEN IT COMES TO ADVANCING INTERSTATE GUN RIGHTS, THE MICHAEL'S LAW AMENDMENT WILL WORK. NATIONAL RECIPROCITY WILL NOT. Certain states like New York do not grant reciprocity. That is the problem we are trying to address. NRA is too... but without asserting the Commerce Clause to preempt state regulation of guns carried between or among states, they are doomed to lose a 10th Amendment states' rights challenge. It appears they are more about appearing to be working toward a solution than actually fixing this problem long term and they don't want you to hear this argument. They apparently don't like our Plan B bill not as a matter of the merits (because we addressed their concerns about special carve outs and registration leading to confiscation) but because it highlights what is a weakness in their national reciprocity bills they have unsuccessfully tried over the last dozen years. Simply stated, you can't lawfully use Federal power to make a state accept the lower gun permitting standards of another state, but you can preempt regulation from state to state outright. That is why the Michael's Law Amendment is the REAL ANSWER to the right to carry interstate problem. In an Orwellian move this week, NRA removed an NRA TV video from Youtube-- in which Trucker Lives Matter made its pitch to NRA to consider backing the Michael's Law Amendment and make it their bill --as part of its ongoing efforts to block any proposal above and beyond their own failed agenda that they don't want you to know about. Time for NRA to lead, follow or get the Hell out of the way.
