Almost 1,500 signatures! Wow! So amazing to see all of this community support for our nurses! We can't thank you enough!

Today was the second day of the strike at St. Mary Medical Center. Nurses again gathered to demonstrate for safer staffing and conditions. Multiple media outlets were in attendance and providing coverage of the events unfolding. While today was supposed to be the last day of the strike, Trinity officials have confirmed that they will be locking out the nurses until Sunday. They will claim that this is to ensure a "safe transition from agency staff to St. Mary staff", but in reality, this is ALL about the money. They had to pay the strike nurses for five days so they intend to use them for five days - instead of letting the fully trained and local St. Mary nurses back onto the job. Trinity claims that they are about safety, they claim they are about integrity, they claim they are about honesty, but what have we gotten from them? Lies and false promises. Shameful for a corporation that claims to be about Christian values!

Thank you for continuing to stand with St. Mary nurses - with the continued support of our local community, I am hopeful that they will be able to resume negotiations sooner to win a fair contract and protect our families and friends! Please continue to share and spread the word - St. Mary nurses need all the help we can give!
