Some of you who were around last year may remember the #LovelaceOrBust campaign we ran to get the first computer programmer, Ada Lovelace, a bust in the Long Room. Since then, Ada Lovelace has been in a constant of our society, always making cameos in the occasional poster.
With over 280 supporters joining our cause last year, the dream is finally a reality and becoming by far the most popular candidate in submissions, Ada Lovelace will be gracing Trinity's campus along with Rosalind Franklin, Ada Gregory, and Mary Wollstonecraft some time in the foreseeable future.
