Travis Kelce: End Your Involvement in the Cruel Horseracing Industry!

Travis Kelce: End Your Involvement in the Cruel Horseracing Industry!
The Issue
Urge Travis Kelce to end his part-ownership of a racehorse named Swift Delivery.
Horseracing is Cruel, not Glamorous!
There is nothing glamorous about animal cruelty. Travis Kelce is choosing money over compassion in becoming a part-owner of a racehorse named Swift Delivery.
Travis Kelce's relationship with Taylor Swift has drawn increased public attention to his involvement in the horseracing industry, especially with a horse coincidentally named Swift Delivery. This connection is drawing support to an industry known for its cruelty to horses and dependence on taxpayer subsidies.
Let’s remember that in 2019, Taylor Swift canceled her performance at the Melbourne Cup (Australia) due to public pressure over the ethical concerns of horseracing. We urge Travis to follow her example and immediately end your ties to this industry, which thrives on the exploitation and suffering of sentient beings.
Over 2,000 horses are killed for gambling and entertainment across the United States alone.
Horseracing is Horse KILLING:
Nationally, Horseracing Wrongs has documented over 10,000 deaths since 2014; its research shows that well over 2,000 horses are killed at U.S. tracks annually. Over 2,000 - that's about six every single day.
Horseracing is not a "Sport," it's Animal Cruelty:
The typical "racehorse" is torn from his mother as a mere babe, thrust into an intensive training regimen at 18 months - long before his body is even remotely mature - and first raced at two, the rough equivalent of a first-grader.
From there, the incessant grinding - again, on an unformed skeleton - begins, because if he's not racing, he's not earning.
The Everyday Cruelty:
Confined: Kept locked - alone - in a tiny 12×12 stall for over 23 hours a day. Horses are deprived of social interaction and the freedom to move. This extreme confinement causes severe emotional and mental distress, leading to stereotypic behaviors like cribbing, wind-sucking, and self-harm.
Commodified: Lip tattoos, auctions, "claiming races."
Controlled: Cribbing collars, lip/nose chains, tongue ties, eye blinders, metal mouth-bits.
Beaten: Whipped in full public view to run faster.
In short, at its core, horseracing is unmitigated cruelty and wholesale killing, a world away from the "sport" it purports to be. And as an added insult, this cruelty and killing is being heavily subsidized by state taxpayers.
In regard to how the relative animals are treated, horseracing is not a whit different from dogracing, which is all but dead in America, having been outlawed on moral grounds in 43 states. Horseracing should - must - be next.
What YOU can do to Help the Horses:
By signing this petition, you're helping send a clear message: the horseracing industry, built on animal cruelty, should not be glamorized. Thousands of horses suffer and die for profit.
Urge Travis Kelce to end his involvement, choose compassion, and set an example for millions of fans. Your voice can help stop this exploitation.
