Heartbreaking News: A Child Has Been Hit on Hayes Road. We Must Act Now.

Dear 700 Supporters,

Today, our worst fears were realised. A young child was hit by a car on Hayes Road. All of our thoughts, prayers, and deepest wishes for a full and speedy recovery are with the child and their family during this incredibly difficult time.

This is the devastating tragedy we have been desperately trying to prevent. We have warned the City of Sydney repeatedly about the high-speed traffic, the blind spots, and the absolute lack of pedestrian priority at the Hayes Road and Mentmore Avenue intersection. Just weeks ago, we saw two severe multi-car crashes on a single day—and now, a child has been hurt.
 
We Are at 700 Signatures. We Need 1,000 Immediately.
Thank you all deeply for your ongoing support, but we cannot stop here. We are currently at 700 signatures, and our goal is to hit over 1,000 before  Lord Mayor Clover Moore's review. 

We need one final, massive push from this community. We are fighting to force Council to install a raised Wombat crossing and traffic calming so that we never have to witness a pedestrian fatality on our street. Basic kerb extensions are no longer enough—human lives are on the line.
