Congratulations, Thanks to you taking the time to make sure your views are heard by Transport for London by signing this petition against Cycle Superhighway 11, we have now reached 4,000 individual signatures in just a month - you should be incredibly proud of that achievement, I know I am. So, now that the "Public Consultation" (of which there was barely anything) has formally closed, what have we achieved? Well, here are some of the achievements you have enabled us to make : 1. Raised public awareness about TfL's CS11 plans among 4,000+ people who otherwise would never have likely heard about it (exactly what TfL want - we suspect they want to sweep it under the carpet and then steamroller this project through with as little opposition as possible) 2. Received significant press coverage of CS11 plans in the Ham & High, Wood & Vale, Camden New Journal and Standard newspapers 3. Caused the Directors and Senior Management at TfL to actually sit up and listen to the views of the majority of hardworking, sensible Londoners and not just a vocal minority of aggressive, militant cyclists who cast a very bad light on the decent law-abiding cyclists. 4. Demonstrated your strong feelings about this catastrophic scheme by blocking the Macclesfield Bridge Gate to Regents Park and seeing the resulting traffic congestion thanks to a "sit-in" with placards and banners which received excellent press coverage. 5. Enabled us to start the process of launching a legal challenge against TfL. I am immensely proud and inspired by everyone's team efforts and together I know we can show TfL that they ARE actually accountable to us Londoners and we will not let them inflict traffic misery, pollution hell and stress on our lives.
