Transport for London - discourage bus passengers from dropping plastic bottles!

The Issue

Every time we board a London bus, we find a plastic bottle rolling around the deck because some thoughtless person has discarded it (perhaps assuming TFL staff will fetch it) - overlooking where it might end up. More often than not, it falls to the road side once the doors open, and then onwards, quite possibly to a waterway. David Attenborough's 'Blue Planet II' has shown us evidence that plastics have flowed into ocean waters thousands of miles from land. Please take action and ask Transport for London to place on-board notices that discourage plastic litter and persuade passengers to be environmentally responsible. Gently educating people about the ecological effects of plastics pollution can only be a step in the right direction.
