Hello

I have put up some new posters - in Aston Villa colours - around Battersea Bridge to let people know that, although the initial ambition for the campaign has been achieved, the campaign continues.

I plan to keep track of TFL's progress on the installation of the Green Man crossing on the South arm, as well as its promises to act on the West and North arms.

I am expecting to get information regarding the consultation phase for South in the next week or so. Details on the other works probably will not emerge until after the Mayoral election on 6th May (when I take office. Boom boom).

In a somewhat disappointing aside (putting it mildly), the last remaining Aston Villa scarf that was laid as a tribute to Jack Ryan has disappeared over the past day or so. This follows several that were taken last week, plus - unbelievably - some personal items laid amongst the flowers by Jack's girlfriend Liz.

It is beyond appalling that any sane person can think it is right to remove precious items such as these from a memorial. If anyone knows who might have taken these possessions, please let me know. I'd like to try and help that person understand why doing what they have done is out of order and downright disgusting.  (RM: 1/3/20)

A quick call out to the kind and neighbourly Steve Doherty - boss of Kall Kwik on the Kings Road - who (again) refused to take payment for laminating the posters. Please do order vast amounts of design works from his company - and say Rob says you get 100% discount. Call 020 7351 3133 or email  info@chelsea.kallkwik.co.uk.
