We, the undersigned, are deeply worried about the growing relationship between direct federal cash disbursements and electoral incentives.

The rollout of the $90 Medicare Part B premium rebate has coincided with a proposal for legislation tying $5,000 dividends to every American adult if Republicans maintain control of Congress following next month’s midterm elections.

This raises serious concerns about the appropriate use of public policy, federal funds, and legislative power to influence voters.

No election should be bought, and public resources must never be weaponized for political leverage.

True democracy requires systemic transparency and institutional accountability across all facets of governance, and this includes a criminal justice system where no one is above the law.

When we look into our national mirror in the sunlight, our reflection demands justice.  We must not only acknowledge but also rectify the legal and institutional failures surrounding victims and survivors harmed by Jeffrey Epstein, co-conspirators, and enablers.

We stand in solidarity with victims, survivors, and advocates for institutional integrity.

And so, we pledge to individually redirect a portion of the rebate and/or future dividends to verified grassroots organizations dedicated to protecting election rights and/or advancing human rights.

Public institutions must serve the people rather than protect the powerful.  By signing this petition, we assert that TRUTH matters.
