Bridgewater State Hospital is not a prison. However, under the Department of Corrections oversight it is treated as such.  Inhumane care, neglect, unsanitary conditions, poor leadership, failed health and dental care, illegal violations and deadly mold are all reported by the Disability Law Center. 

Here is a recently released media report talking about inhumane treatment and poor health care. Our advocacy group is doing our best to support all who suffer from serious mental illness inside a facility known for decades of tragedies and neglect.
