Hello everyone,
I'd like to introduce the Steps for Accountability to you. It's in the google drive originally linked and I believe it deserves a quick read. This document was asked for by President Jordan and was submitted to her at around 3:30 pm on 10/18. The main stipulation was that if this was agreed upon then the sit in would end. I was hopeful that today might've been the last day.
Funfact: Do you know President Jordan's seven year inauguration anniversary was today (or, well, technically yesterday as it's past midnight)? Ironic.
At 7pm, she responded that she would like to have another meeting "to discuss the contents of the letter so that we can continue to make progress in addressing the concerns of the St. Mary's College transgender community."
I'm hoping that this meeting will have the approval we need for the document as otherwise it'd be yet another meeting without action. You can only address concerns so many times over the course of seven years. This meeting would also be on Wednesday, meaning another two nights at least in the building.
Despite the disappointing response of needing yet another meeting for real action, I'm happy to say it was an otherwise calm day.
Thank you everyone,
Alex Clay.
