On 11 May, BANT formally handed over the petition with 1700 signatures to Honourable Ngaree Ah Kit, Minister for multicultural affairs, in the presence of the Honourable Chief Minister Natasha Fyles. Yesterday, 18 May, Member for Karama tabled the petition in Parliament. Both sides of the parliament agreed on the importance of addressing the 7 points in the petition as soon as possible.
