Palm Oil is trending but not in a good way

Trader Joe's has kept quiet during this campaign. It's easy when they don't use any social media to connect to their shoppers. It it astounding that over 10,000 people have signed this petition asking them to stop using conflict palm oil in their food and they don't care. Meanwhile they are selling more organic red palm oil than ever (the one product they advertise as being sustainably resourced while everything else is not). By making such a destructive ingredient popular, it increases demand and therefore makes it worse for the orangutans who continue to lose their only home by the hour.
