“Those who want to downplay the impact of three major thoroughfares hide the fact that FM 1960 is the exact same defined major thoroughfare that is now being planned for Woodlands Parkway, Gosling Road and Branch Crossing,” said Gordy Bunch, another Woodlands Township board member who opposed the parkway extension. “Allowing the county to create thoroughfares that direct traffic through the heart of The Woodlands as alternative routes to I-45, FM 1960, FM 1488 or FM 2920 threatens the quality of life, safety, mobility and property values of our community.”
