Stop the New Apartment Complex on Rogers

Stop the New Apartment Complex on Rogers
The Issue
The town of Wake Forest has grown exponentially with no added infrastructure, the town board continues to approve large projects that deplete natural resources, contribute to traffic, ruin town aesthetics and overpopulate our school system. Existing infrastructure is in poor condition, roads such as Rodgers and Heritage Lake see thousands of vehicles a day yet are covered in potholes and the lack of proper planning leads to daily MAJOR accidents.
While we support town growth there needs to be a better approach, we should not be adding traffic lights and sidewalks after someone gets hurt. One example of this would be: the apartment complex to the left of harris teeter which should have had a light installed far before construction began.
New developments are held to NO standards often taking down every single tree with no regard to natural beauty, animal habitats, or noise reduction. Most developers have also failed to create adequate sidewalks that would allow citizens to travel safely from one neighborhood to the next. Heritage for example kept existing native trees on individual lots and created a large buffer with trees, stone walls, and hedges to help divide the road and the neighborhood.
At what point will we decide we've had enough of developers building huge ugly buildings with no added infrastructure to the town?! As a final reminder the town of Wake Forest does in fact have the word "forest" in it, let's keep it that way!
