Do you want manorhaven  skatepark reopened?
Manorhaven skatepark has been closed for over a month while the rest of the park is open. The town of north Hempstead and Judi Bosworth Stated that the skate park had to close due to complaints that people were not wearing masks or social distancing. When asked to implement guidelines for mask wearing and social distancing and possibly place a security guard by the park they refused stating they do not have the manpower to do so. Today while at Manorhaven park there was not one but two security guards placed by the skate park with the sole purpose of turning skaters and people who want to scooter and bike ride away from the skate park. I wonder why these security guards could not monitor the skate park. They could ask residents to wear masks and social distance while using the skate park. If you wonder the same thing and want the skate park reopened ask the town and have these security guards monitor the skate park rather than close it so our children can have something to do during the winter months when everything else is closed. Please contact Judy Bosworth by email and call. ask her to re-open the skate park. Ask her to have the security guards monitor the children rather than just turn people away.
